Abhilash Nanda of Tigiria block here received the Rajat Kamal for his debut movie ‘Jal’ in special effects category at the 61st National Film Award ceremony recently. He was presented the award by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Abhilash founded the Intermezzo Studio Alien Sense Films Pvt Ltd company at Andheri West, Mumbai with another Odia boy Ranjan Rath in 2010.

The company works in areas of feature films, commercial music videos and animation. Some of its past projects include Vishwaroopam, Lootera, Ra.One, Billa 2 and some shots in Chennai Express and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

While receiving the prestigious award, Nanda thanked the film making team specially Girish Malik, Sunita Radia, crew members, One World Films, Clapstem Productions and the incredible team of Alien Sense.

Nanda said working with director and producer of the film Girish Malik was a great experience. He thanked especially Purab Kohli and Tanisha Chatterjee, Saidah Jules and Kirti Kulhari for filling up the special effects with life and emotions.
