BHUBANESWAR: The Government on Monday appointed social activist Dr Minati Behera as the new State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
The appointment of Behera was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik from among the three names recommended by the Search Committee for this post.
The post was lying vacant after retirement of Kasturi Mohapatra recently.
