BHUBANESWAR: The body of a youth was found hanging from a tree on Khandagiri hills here on Tuesday.
According to police, at about 1.30 pm, some tourists spotted the body suspended from a tree behind the Jain Temple on the hill and reported the matter to Forest Department.
Khandagiri Police and a forensic team reached the spot, recovered the body and conducted preliminary inquiry.
While the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained, a train ticket was found in his shirt pocket. The youth was around 25 years old, police said.
A case of unnatural death has been registered in this connection and body of the youth sent to Capital Hospital for autopsy.
