Odia Compilation of Gita Released

Puri Gajapati Divyasingha Dev released print version of the Bhagawad Gita of Sarala Das.

BHUBANESWAR: Puri Gajapati Divyasingha Dev released print version of the Bhagawad Gita of Sarala Das, which has been compiled by Odia writer Manju Ray, here on Tuesday.

The compilation was released in print and audio formats. Popular singers Sangeeta Gosain, Sumitra Mohapatra and Suchitra Mohaptra have rendered their voice for the verses in form of compositions.

“Though Gita is a narrative, the divine virtues imbibed in its verses should carve ways for our lives,” Dev said adding that everyone should learn from Bhagawad Gita which would inculcate spiritual values in us.

Speaking on the occasion, eminent novelist Santanu Acharya hailed the writer for elaborating crux of Gita in simple language which can be grasped by all.

Among others, Chief Secretary GC Pati and president of Jhanjapita Matha, Puri, Swami Sachidananda Das Maharaj spoke on the occasion.
