CUTTACK: Self-styled godman Santosh Raul alias Sarathi Baba deposed before the Special Court, Cuttack via video conferencing here on Saturday in connection with a fraud case filed against him by the Crime Branch (CB). Raul’s adopted son Satyam and co-accused in the case Santosh Gachhayat appeared before the court in person. Crime Branch had filed a case against the trio under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of Indian Penal Code (IPC). Other cases against Satyam are pending with the Orissa High Court. This is Satyam’s first appearance before the Cuttack Special Court. While his lawyer submitted bail bonds, the court announced dates for trial, sources said.
