SALEPUR: The State Government has ordered a Crime Branch probe into the alleged murder of Ashok Kumar Nayak (32) of Sankilo village under Nischintakoili police limits.
The order was issued after Ashok’s father Rabindra alleged inaction by the local police in his son’s murder case.
Rabindra said some locals had called Ashok in October and strangulated him to death following a feud over illicit relation with a married woman. They left behind the body near a house in the village.
Rabindra also staged a dharna with his family members in front of Nischintakoili police station on Republic Day.
