Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik goes on inauguration spree

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various projects worth Rs 21 crore as part of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Local Self-Government Day celebrations.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the automated abattoirs in Gadakana, LED street lights installed from Fire Station Square to Sishu Bhawan Square, a Kalyan Mandap in Unit-VI, a day care centre for senior citizens at Aiginia, a park under AMRUT scheme at Dumduma, a crematorium at Baramunda with a cost of Rs 20 lakh and six community centres in Bharatpur.

He also laid foundation stones for two day care centres at IRC Village and Rental Colony, parks in Bharatpur, Police Colony, IRC Village and BDA Colony in Pokhariput and a crematorium in Ward-49 to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 17.49 lakh.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for construction of a drain in Acharya Vihar over the natural drainage channel number-4 to resolve the prolonged water logging problem in the area.
