Vigilance squad raids crorepati project manager of Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation

BHUBANESWAR: The State Vigilance Department on Friday raided establishments of an Assistant Project Manager of Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC) on allegations of acquisition and possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The OPHWC official, Bikram Keshari Malla is currently posted in Bhubaneswar. The sleuths searched his triple-storied house at Lingaraj Vihar in Pokhariput and his relatives’ residences. Currently, searches are on at five different locations across the State in this connection.

The anti-corruption agency has unearthed assets worth Rs 1 crore in Malla’s and his family members’ names. A DA case has been registered and further investigation is on, a senior Vigilance official said.
