Be sensitive to the needs of deprived: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tells OAS

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday said the administration should be more sensitive to the needs of poor and deprived.

Addressing the valedictory function of Odisha Administrative Service Association annual convention here, Naveen said welfare of the people remains at the centre of State’s governance. “Not a single individual should be deprived of his rightful entitlements, more so in the case of disadvantaged sections of society,” he said.

Stating that the OAS plays a pivotal role in the State administration, which significantly banks on the efficiency and competence of the officers of this cadre, the Chief Minister said starting from the grass-roots to the State headquarters, they are responsible for successful implementation of most of the pro-people initiatives of the Government. Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera, Chief Secretary AP Padhi, president of the association Saroj Samal and secretary Jyoti Ranjan Mishra attended.
