BHUBANESWAR:  Members of NSUI, the student wing of Congress, on Monday staged protest against the State Government over high unemployment rate in Odisha.Critising the State Government, NSUI State president Itish Pradhan said, “The educated youths are not getting employment in Odisha. Many youths are going to other States in search of jobs. If the unemployment issue is not solved soon, we will stage protests in all the districts of the State.” Pradhan claimed that 42 lakh educated youths are unemployed in the State. 

NSUI activists attempted to proceed towards the Secretariat by jumping the barricades set up at Lower PMG, but were waylaid by police. Later, they clashed with the cops.“Over 25 protestors were taken into preventive custody and released later,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Kumar Sahoo said.
