BHUBANESWAR: The World Skill Center (WSC) Bhubaneswar has signed 25 different MoUs with different technical institutes and universities in the state to strengthen institutional collaboration and expand opportunities for advanced skill development, industry-aligned training and youth employability.
WSC officials said the Centre signed the MoUs with both government and private engineering colleges and universities in the fields of advanced skill development training, academic cooperation, employment opportunities, Training of Trainers (ToT), research and development and youth empowerment.
WSC CEO Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra said by bringing together WSC and leading academic and technical institutions, the initiative aims to create stronger pathways for students to acquire future-ready skills and improve their career prospects.
“The event also featured an awareness session on Odisha Skills Competition 2026-27, encouraging participating institutions to facilitate wider involvement of talented youth in the state’s flagship skill competition,” he added.
The event also highlighted the opportunities available through skills competitions to help young people demonstrate excellence, gain recognition and pursue further avenues for professional growth.
Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics were also felicitated for their contribution towards advanced skill development training programmes.
