PUDUCHERRY: HCL Learning and Resonance Institute at Kota in association with the Aditya Vidhyashram Residential School, Puducherry,  has  launched an intensive coaching programme for students of Puducherry called `Xcelerate Coaching Programme’  for cracking IIT-JEE, AIEEE, AIPMT, NTSE and various olympiads though a video conferencing facility.

Stating this at a press conference on Saturday, Venketaraman, associate vice-president, HCL Learning, said that this would put students outside Kota on par with students in Kota as regards the coaching facility. The latter would be undertaken by well experienced faculty members who were  former IIT students. Live video programme would be conducted by the Vidyashram at Poraiyur, using the technology available on the campus.

Xcelerate programme would be available for students from class VII to XII.  There would be  courses ranging from a duration of six months to more. The selection would be through an aptitude test on January 9, 2011 at Aditya Vidyashram, Poraiyur. The coaching would be conducted throughout the year  in a selected centre in the town on a daily basis in the evening.

C Anandane, patron, Aditya Vidhyashram, and Anudha Poonamalle, trustee of the education trust for the programme, said the school had also introduced technology in teaching with a three- dimensional educational animated content developed by HCL to enrich the minds of students.
