CHENNAI: The Madras High court today granted interim anticipatory bail to S P Charan, son of playback singer S P Balasubramaniam, who apprehended arrest following a complaint lodged with police against him by actress Sonar Heiden for allegedly attempting to outrage her modesty.
Granting bail for two weeks, Justice G Rajasuria directed Charan, a playback singer, to execute a personal bond for Rs 10,000 with two sureities for like amounts and report daily until further orders.
The incident allegedly took place at a party to celebrate the success of Tamil film "Mangatha" on September 14.
Sonar had filed a complaint under Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and IPC section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
