CHENNAI: CM J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday announced that the infrastructure in all 93 government colleges in the State would be upgraded immediately at a cost of Rs 100 crore. This would be the highest-ever allocation made for the purpose, she added. Plans to enhance infrastructure in colleges will include — provision of new furniture for classes, books for libraries and setting up of quality laboratories and renovation of dining halls and restrooms.
