CHENNAI: In a bid to help students in getting community, income and nativity certificates without facing hardships, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday announced that these certificates would be issued to the Class VI students.
The CM said that from the forthcoming academic year, all students studying in Class VI will get their certificates. Through this measure, about 12 lakh kids would be benefited. At present, the students are facing problems and unnecessary delay in getting certificates, which are necessary for pursuing higher studies, claiming scholarships and in getting admission in government hostels.
