PUDUCHERRY: Ranvir Singh Krishnia, a 1989 batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Inspector General of Puducherry Police on Wednesday evening. Krishnia, who was with the Delhi Police, belongs to the AGMU
Cadre.
DIG I D Shukla, Atul Katiyar and the newly posted IPS officers Bairon Singh Gujjar, R A Sanjeev and Parvez Ahmed were present to welcome him.
SP N T Sivadasan, T Bhairavasamy, S Ramaraj and G P Pazhanivel were also present along with inspectors and SIs.
A guard of honour was accorded to Krishnia by the Puducherry police personnel. Later, the Inspector General met Chief Minister N Rangasamy.
