TB seal sale campaign launched

The Vellore district TB Association has an ambitious target of selling 1,50,600 TB seals, to garner `3 lakh this year.

Vellore district TB control officer Dr Raja Sivanandam said the 63rd TB seal sale campaign has been launched in the district on Monday by district collector Shankar, who is also the president of the District TB Association.

The campaign is part of the income generation strategy to support the revised national TB control programme of the Central and State governments to fight TB in the country.

The campaign is conducted every year in the month of October. This year, it was inaugurated by the President of India on October 2.
