Express News Service

A little after Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa wrote to the Prime Minister, asking for additional power to Tamil Nadu, Union Minister of State KC Venugopal said all the power from the Koodankulam Plant cannot be directly given to the State.

Speaking at the airport here on Wednesday, Venugopal said, “All the power generated will have to be given to the central grid. It is the PM who decides how much power can be given to the State and how much needs to be given elsewhere.”
