The Vellore division of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company Ltd has announced that there would be a power shutdown in Thorapadi 110/11 substation and KV Kuppam substation on Thursday, due to regular maintenance work. In a release, executive engineer K Soundararajan said there would be no power between 9 am to 5 pm in Bagayam, Chitteri, Edyansathu, Virupatchipuram, Palavansathu, Samynagar, Sainthapuram, Ezhilnagar, Sastri Nagar, Gandhi nagar, Ariyur areas.
