Overtaking of Chief Minister N Rangasamy’s car, twice in a day on the same road, aroused the suspicion of police on Sunday evening.
Police said that a car overtook the Chief Minister’s car near Muruga theatre, and then again on the same road. Police control room was immediately alerted about the vehicle. Police personnel followed the car and intercepted it. However, police inquiries revealed that the car carrying four persons was enroute to a hospital with a patient on board. After inquiries police let the vehicle go.
