DMDK leader Vijayakanth on Friday moved the Madras High Court bench here seeking anticipatory bail apprehending arrest in a case booked against him in connection with the scuffle with a public prosecutor in Nagercoil last week.

The actor-turned-politician moved the court a day after the Kottar police in Kanyakumar district registered a case against him in connection with the July 11 incident.

On July four the Madras High Court had disposed of an anticipatory bail filed by Vijayakanth after the Government advocate informed that there was no case bookeed against the actor over Nagercoil incident, on which he was seeking bail.

The petition is yet to be listed for hearing.
