Naam Tamizhar Katchi (NTK) president Seeman on Saturday appealed to the electorate to teach a fitting lesson to both the national parties, Congress and BJP, for ignoring the interests of Tamils.

Seeman, who has been actively campaigning for AIADMK, addressing an election rally here on Saturday said, the Congress and BJP adopted the same stand on several issues that concerned Tamils, including sharing of Cauvery water, repeated attacks on fishermen by Sri Lankan navy and the CBM Project in delta region.

Despite Supreme Court orders in favour of Tamil Nadu in river issues like Cauvery and Mullaiperiyar, neither the Congress-led UPA government implemented it nor the BJP insisted to give the due share to Tamil Nadu. “After these prolonged betrayal, I wonder how the national parties are asking for the support and vote of the Tamil community,” he asked.

The NTK president also blamed the Manmohan Singh government for the escalation of prices of commodities which had badly affected the common man. To win the rights of Tamil Nadu on several issues and to protect the interests of Tamils, the firebrand leader appealed to the people to vote for AIADMK candidates without any second thought.
