Former president of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee K V Thankabalu has expressed hope that people would opt for Congress Government at the Centre for the third time. This he said while addressing a large gathering of reporters here on Friday. He had come to Vellore to canvass for the Congress candidate for Vellore constituency Vijay Ilanchzhian. “Congress has developed India on several fronts and people are happy with the schemes and measures taken by the party. They would reject BJP like what they did in 2009 elections and elect Congress once again,” he added. “This election is a fight between the Congress and the BJP,” he stressed. Talking about the schemes implemented by the Congress government, Thankabalu said that, the Congress was the only secular party that can lead the country.
