CHENNAI: Co-ordinator of the People’s Movement against Atomic Energy, S.P. Udayakumar, called on Chief Minister O Panneerselvam at the Secretariat on Friday and urged him to stop the Central government’s plans to expans the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project.
Pointing out that the Centre was planning to establish four more reactors even before the existing units began commercial operations he said people living around the plant were worried over the new development.
Further, he also requested the CM to withdraw cases on the youth who took part in protests against the plant.
