A 70-year-old convict, lodged in Vellore Central Prison, died in the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital due to asthma on Saturday night.
M Munusamy (alias) Kolakara Munusamy, an ex-serviceman and a resident of Pochampalli in Krishnagiri district, was serving life imprisonment since 2010. Police informed Munusamy’s family. The body would be handed over to them after a post-mortem.
