PUDUCHERRY: Activists belonging to 16 political and social outfits on Monday protested in front of the Raj Nivas, seeking recall of Lieutenant Governor Virendra Kataria.
The protestors raised slogans against Kataria, alleging that he was a hurdle in implementation welfare schemes and was interfering in the functioning of the elected government in the Union Territory.
Makkal t Iyakkam, Dravida Viduthalai Iyakkam, Tamilar Desiya Iyakkam, Federation for People’s Rights, Lok Jana Sakthi, Republican Party of India, Makkal Vazhurimai Iyakkam were among the outfits that participated.
