PU Professor Ramadass Takes VRS

Amidst speculations of contesting the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, Prof M Ramadass, Director of Studies, Educational Innovations & Rural Reconstruction (SEIRR), has retired from Pondicherry University on Saturday.

Prof Ramadass, who joined the university in 1986, “had given three months notice for Voluntary Retirement stating personal reasons.” The period of notice expired on March 1. He was relieved as per the procedure of the university.

The former Member of Parliament from Puducherry had served the university as professor and head, department of economics, director of Academic Staff College, director of first Community College of India, dean, School of Management, director of Studies, Educational Innovation and Rural Reconstruction and centre heads of Karaikal PG Centre, Directorate of Distance Education, Pudhuvai Vaani, Andaman & Nicobar Centre, Academic Staff College and Community College.
