Blood Stains on Walls Trigger Panic in Kovai’s Podanur area

Though the residents had no clue about it, they were sure that the stains were not present there till late Wednesday night.

COIMBATORE: Residents of MGR Nagar in Ceylon Colony, Podanur, were shocked to find blood stains outside their houses on Thursday morning. The blood stains were found outside the houses of Shaktivel, Arumugham, Subramaniam and Kalimuthu, on the door, walls and even on vehicles parked outside the houses of some residents. Though the residents had no clue about it, they were sure that the stains were not present there till late Wednesday night.

On information, the Podanur police arrived at the spot and began investigations. A team of forensic experts took blood samples and looked for fingerprints. Police said they were trying to ascertain whether it was the blood of a human or an animal, as a dog with an injured ear was roaming around the area. However, they have sent the blood samples for testing. Nothing can be concluded until the lab report is received, they added.
