CHENNAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with students to mark Guru Utsav was well received at the Kendriya Vidyalaya at CPWD quarters at Thirumangalam. While students were a tad restless in the beginning, the PM’s humour and enthusiasm built up the mood quickly.

Teachers appreciated the initiative, saying it helps students increase their knowledge by interacting with the PM.  However, it didn’t quite work for students who did not know Hindi, as there was no facility for translation. That apart, the interaction got a big thumbs up.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Class XII students captivated, skipping their tuition tests. When asked if they would expect a similar interaction with the PM next year as well, the answer was a huge unanimous ‘Yes.’
