AIADMK's Gesture to HC Judge

Express News Service

COIMBATORE:A councillor of the Coimbatore Corporation has urged AIADMK members to name their newborn boys ‘Kumarasamy’, after Justice C R Kumarasamy of the Karnataka High Court, who acquitted the party chief and former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case two days ago.

“Justice Kumarasamy is like a god for lakhs of AIADMK members like me. Naming our newborn boys as ‘Kumarasamy’ is a good way to honour him,” Ward 84 councillor D Chandran told Express, adding, “If I am fortunate enough to live till I have a grandson, I will definitely name him Kumarasamy, in honour of the HC judge.”

Soon after the verdict exonerating Jayalalithaa flashed through the media around 11 am on Monday, Chandran and other AIAMDK cadres raised slogans in praise of ‘Amma’ at Idhaya Deivam Maaligai, the party office here, and urged members of the party to name their newborn boys after Justice Kumarasamy, Chandran said.
