COIMBATORE: Revenue Department officials, along with Anaimalai police personnel, exhumed the body of a 3-year-old girl, who had died under mysterious circumstances on October 12.
The father of the young girl, K Veeramuthu, 28, from Anaimalai, had told the police that he suspected his wife, who was allegedly in an illicit relationship with another man, had murdered his daughter.
Police had registered a case and had begun investigations based on the man’s complaint.
A government doctor performed the autopsy on Saturday. Police are awaiting the autopsy report.
