MADURAI:The Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK), which recently snapped its ties with the People’s Welfare Front (PWF), has appreciated the Jayalalithaa Government for its implementation of welfare schemes for the downtrodden.
MMK convenor M H Jawahirullah said, “The present AIADMK government works for the welfare of the people.”
He added that the MMK cadres would head to Cuddalore district to oversee the relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken by the government. “We cannot blame the State Government for the natural disaster. It should be given enough time for rehabilitating the displaced people,” he said.
