NAGAPATTINAM: A 65-year-old man drowned and his nine-year-old grandson went missing while they were crossing the flooded Manniyaru near Sirkazhi. While the body of the sexagenarian was retrieved on Thursday, police and fire service personnel from Sirkazhi have launched a search for the missing boy. Sources identified the victim as Maniratnam (65), a farmhand, and the missing boy as Gopinath (9).
