MADURAI: A 22-year-old youth drowned in Vaigai river on Sunday.
According to the police around 11 am Chinnapandi (22), a daily wager from Pankajam Colony near Teppakulam, along with his friends went to bathe in the river.
During their bath, Chinnapandi’s friends noticed that he was missing. They alerted the Fire and Rescue service personnel, who began a search. However till 8.00 pm, they were unable to trace him.
