NAMAKKAL: This town in Tamil Nadu has been set abuzz by an audio clip circulated on the social media app WhatsApp in which two men were heard allegedly threatening a girl for falling in love with a boy from another caste.
As per the recording, the two men threatened the girl, presumed to be an engineering student at a self-financing college in Thiruchengode in Namakkal district, that they would mow down her boyfriend with a truck.
"We have several sand trucks in Sankari. It will not take much time for us to run over the boy, pulping him under the wheels," one of the men is heard yelling in the audio clip.
The girl remained resolute throughout the conversation in the face of death threats to her and her friend.
The origin of the audio clipping was not known.
