CHENNAI: Advocate Vairakannan, in addition to his earlier PIL, on Thursday filed an additional affidavit seeking CBI probe into the allegation of large-scale bribing during the cancelled by-poll to the RK Nagar Assembly constituency.

When the original PIL came up on July 14, a division bench of Justices M Sathyanarayanan and N Seshasayee directed the Joint Commissioner of Police (East) to monitor the case and file a status report on August 23.
