CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala on Saturday made it clear that she had waited enough and would not be quiet beyond the limit. “Since we have faith in democracy, we keep quiet to some extent; we can be tolerant only to certain extent; beyond that point, we all will, together, do whatever is required,” she told hundreds of cadre who met her at Poes Garden residence today.

Speaking to the cadre, Sasikala said “I have the responsibility to lead the party and government since Amma had left 1.5 crore cadre to me.  Since you are all with me, the mischiefs of a few persons, won’t do any harm to the party. You are everything to me.  Amma had left the party and cadre to me with the hope that I will protect them.

The AIADMK general secretary recalled that after the passing away of party founder MG Ramachandran, Amma had protected the AIADMK by withstanding many a trials and tribulations.

“As a result, now the AIADMK stands as the third largest party in Parliament.  Even now, Amma is with us and leading us. She is just exposing to us the parasites within the party. As many as 1.5 crore cadre are with us, whoever attempts to create a division among us will get defeated; as Amma has very often described, our party is an iron fort and no one can shake it,” Sasikala said and added that Jayalalithaa had faced many a problems for the party and now,  a similar situation was prevailing. “Let us win over this situation.  Since all of you are on my side, I will not fear anything,” she added.
