CHENNAI: Soon as news broke about the Supreme Court verdict upholding the conviction of AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala in the decades-old disproportionate assets case, the situation turned a little tense in front of the Golden Bay Resort at Koovathur. This is the resort where nearly 95 MLAs of the AIADMK are staying since the revolt by caretaker chief minister O Panneerselvam against Sasikala.
Over 350 police officers headed by inspector-general of police Senthamarai Kannan were deployed at Kuvathur since Monday midnight. Hundreds of party cadres have gathered outside the resort.
However, none of the MLAs came out from the resort in which Sasikala also staying since last night.
