Physio becomes GRI Chancellor in Dindigul

THE Union Ministry of Human Resource and Development has appointed Dr K M Annamalai, a physiotherapist, as Chancellor, Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI, a deemed university) for five years.

DINDIGUL: THE Union Ministry of Human Resource and Development has appointed Dr K M Annamalai, a physiotherapist, as Chancellor, Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI, a deemed university) for five years.

A media note stated that Dr Annamalai, of Melasivapuri in Pudukottai district, was head of physiotherapy department in a private hospital in Ahmedabad.
He had done research on knee pain management in association with Punjabi university in the field of knee pain management through phonophoresis.

Dr Annamalai has secured many awards from different medical institutions for his teaching ability, including one from Indian Association of Physiotherapy for clinical excellence (IAP). He has imparted physiotherapy for more than 10,000 health professionals.
