CHENNAI: The result of the class 12th board exams were released on Friday.

The results saw an an overall increase from 2016, with a 92.1 pass percentage. Girls outdid the boys with a 94.5 pass percentage while boys had 89.3 per cent.
Virudhnagar beat all other districts with 97.85 per cent of students passing while Chennai, with 92.99 pass percentage stood 16th in the list.
