CHENNAI: Income Tax officials went on with their search operation for the third day at the house of S Senthil, the lawyer of Sasikala, in Namakkal on Saturday.

Sources said more than six taxmen were involved on the third day of the operation at the lawyer’s house. Officials came to house early in the morning on Saturday and interacted with Senthil’s family. Later, several files and documents were reportedly seized from his house.

During the search operation, when the squad had asked the family to open the two rooms used by Senthil, they claimed the keys were with the lawyer, who was away from home for work. However, the sleuths sealed the two rooms and warned not to open them in their absence. The officials tried contacting Senthil, but his phone was switched off.

Senthil’s junior Pandiyan’s house, Mahalakshmi transport owner Subramanian’s house and member of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission A V Balusamy’s house were also raided on the third day.
