NEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here and is learnt to have apprised him of the political situation in the State. 

The meeting assumes significance as it came a day after the Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Assembly disqualified 18 TTV Dhinakaran loyalist MLAs.

The Governor’s meeting with Home Minister lasted for 20 minutes and discussions centred on the current political developments in Tamil Nadu, Union Home Ministry sources said.

After the meeting, Singh tweeted a photograph of the meeting with the Governor.
