Anuradha to Head Intel Wing of AP

A 1987 batch IPS officer, AR Anuradha, is all set to be the first woman to head the Intelligence wing of Andhra Pradesh. Orders were issued on Wednesday appointing her as the Intelligence chief of AP.

HYDERABAD: A 1987 batch IPS officer, AR Anuradha, is all set to be the first woman to head the Intelligence wing of Andhra Pradesh. Orders were issued on Wednesday appointing her as the Intelligence chief of AP.

Though there were other contenders for the key post, Chandrababu Naidu led government picked up Anuradha for the post.  Besides Anuradha, the state government also issued orders giving postings to five more senior IPS officers.

Anuradha previously worked as DCP east zone, IGP, Hyderabad range, Vigilance and Enforcement and as Additional DGP (provisions and Logistics).

The posting of other officers are as follows:

A 1989 batch IPS officer Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Chairman, SLPRB has been  transferred and posted as Additional DGP, CID, AP.

RP Thakur, who was working in the Vigilance & Enforcement Department was transferred and posted as Addl DGP, Law and Order, AP

VSK Kaumudi, Addl DGP(Law &Order) was transferred and posted as Addl DGP(P&L) and Welfare, AP.

NV Surendra Babu, 1987 batch officer, Addl DGP, Training was transferred and posted as Addl DGP, Operations (Greyhounds & Octopus), AP.
