Action Plan to Give Facelift to Vemulawada Temple

KARIMNAGAR:Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple authorities had prepared an action plan at a cost of Rs. 150 crore for the development of shrine.

Vemulawada MLA Ch Ramesh Babu submitted the action plan to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao a few days ago. Accordingly, Chief Minister has assured him that he will visit the ancient shrine soon and take measures for its development. The action plan for the development of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple, includes the construction of additional accommodation facilities with 150 rooms at Balnagar and Tippapur.

The proposals included in the action plan  are: second tower for temple, modernisation and beautification of the temple tank,  a religious park, establishment of vedic and music schools, museum and meditation hall. 

Sources said that about 50 acres of land would be acquired for temple development.

Besides this, the devasthanam authorities have also urged the government to take measures for the widening of the road from the RTC bus station complex to the temple shrine and construction of two-way road with beautification.  Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Endowments department and Yadadri temple new designee ‘Stapati’ Soundarya Rajan visited the shrine and inspected the temple complex to prepare a plan for temple development. Sircilla RDO Biksha Naik said all works would be taken up in a systematic and scientific way.
