Telangana Gets Rs 1,500 Cr Investments

HYDERABAD:  Within a fortnight of announcing its new industrial policy, the the State government has attracted 1,500-crore investment to the State. This includes a unit by ITC limited.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, 17 companies will be investing 1,500 crore and create 4,000 jobs. The government announced its industrial policy on June 12, offering a host of industry-friendly provisions including clearances for new projects within two weeks.

The officials completed giving permissions to 17 companies in 10 days flat. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will give the permissions to representatives of the companies at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
