No Bail for Sexual Assault Accused

Express News Service

HYDERABAD: Justice Raja Elango of the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday refused to grant bail to Kalakonda Madhu alias Srinivas who was accused in the case of assaulting young girls by luring them on the pretext of providing jobs and education counselling.

It may be recalled that the officers of the SHE team and cyber crime police have arrested Madhu (33), a former employee of Food Corporation of India, for allegedly sexually harassing more than 300 girls.

Opposing the bail petition of the psycho, additional public prosecutor D Rami Reddy contended that the petitioner had assaulted more than 300 girls, particularly the students of SSC and Intermediate, by downloading their personal details from the Internet and falsely introducing himself as an educational counsellor. In fact, the petitioner managed to get details of about 5,000 girls and investigation was still going on in this case and if the accused was enlarged on bail there was a possibility of his indulging in similar offences, the additional public prosecutor said.

“It would be better for the society if this kind of psychos are put behind the bar instead of allowing them to move in  society,” he added.

Justice Elango dismissed the bail petition.
