HYDERABAD: Justice Raja Elango of the High Court on Wednesday refused to grant bail to a notorious cattle thief, Nawab, and his two associates.
According to the prosecution, Nawab, who hails from Haryana, has settled here as a beef seller. He turned a cattle thief to fulfil his dream of owning a house. On realising that income from beef sales was not enough, he formed three gangs and committed thefts in Mahbubnagar and nearby districts. With the money thus earned, he gave Rs 5 lakh as advance payment to a house-owner to buy a house.
Taking the arguments of additional public prosecutor D Rami Reddy into consideration, the judge dismissed bail petitions.
