HYDERABAD: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) minister K T Rama Rao informed the Assembly on Monday that a comprehensive master plan has been prepared for a total extent of 14 acres spread over on the top of the hill shrine of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta.
The temple development would be completed in two years as chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is very keen on Yadadri development at the earliest.
Answering a question during the Question Hour, Rama Rao said in the first phase an extent of 2.33 acres would be developed.
The government, as part of its endeavour to make Yadadri a beautiful temple city, has acquired about 1,900 acres and an amount Rs 93.30 crore has been spent towards land acquisition.
As part of the plan it was proposed to lay four-lane road from Raigiri to Yadadri, widening of roads leading to Yadagirigutta, development of 252 acres for construction of cottages, avenue plantations, development of four lakes, water supply to temple and temple town, development of Abhayaranya, construction of Vedic school and sculptor institute on the lines of Tirupati, Rama Rao said.
As the number of devotees to the temple town is bound to increase in near future, due care is being taken to provide accommodation to the visiting devotees.
