HYDERABAD: The famous Lakshmi Narasimha temple, Yadagirigutta (Yadadri) in Nalgonda district remodelling will be completed by 2017 Dasara. The remodelled Yadadri temple should be ready for the devotees by next Dasara, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials.
At a review meeting on the development of Yadadri at his camp office here on Wednesday, the chief minister gave his nod for the final design of Yadadri temple construction plans. He watched the 3D photos of models of various constructions and directed the officials to proceed as per the design.
Rao said Yadadri would become the first temple in the world with rock sculpture having five Raja Gopurams. Yadadri temple complex was being built with ‘Krishna sila’ (black stone) and around 500 sculptors were engaged for carving the rock,” KCR added.
The chief minister also expressed happiness over the designs of proposed cottages and proposed minor changes and approved them. For VIPs like President, Prime Minister and others, ‘Daiva Sannidhi’ cottages would be constructed near the main temple.
The ‘Agama sastra’ (principles of scriptures) should be followed scrupulously, Rao directed the officials. He also said that corporate institutions should come forward for the construction of 250 cottages in the temple city of Yadadri.
