Maharashtra Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao is likely to visit Nagaram village in Konaraopet mandal to lay foundation stone for renovation of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple.

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: Maharashtra Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao is likely to visit Nagaram village in Konaraopet mandal to lay foundation stone for renovation of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple. Nagaram happens to be governor’s native village.

Endowments department under its Common Good Fund (CGF) has sanctioned `36 lakh  for temple renovation. Vemulawada MLA CH Ramesh Babu, Collector D Krishna Bhasker and  Vemulawda temple EO D Rajeshwar visited Nagaram village and inspected the arrangements for the foundation stone laying ceremony on Sunday.

When Vidyasagar Rao was Karimnagar MP, he constructed  Kalinga Mardhana and snake tunnel on hillock of Nampalli adjacent to Vemulawada temple town.
